OOTN: The Get-Together

I was invited to a “Get-Together” very last minute this past weekend and the inevitable question fell upon my shoulders “What to wear?!”

So I sprang to my trusty but under construction, closet for my answer. I have recently began a rebuild of my closet when I realized I did not own not 1 neutral. Thankfully, H&M has been having the craziest sales on some neutral and extremely stylish apparel. More on that haul in another post. So of course I did not take pictures but through the magic of Polyvore, I am able to recreate the Outfit Of The Night.

From my closet I pulled the newly added stripe neutral from H&M and coupled it with a short, royal blue bandage skirt from Forever 21. The temperature in Boston is dropping daily, inviting the cool fall nights, which cued me to throw on some black leggings for warmth. H&M was a strong personality in this night’s performance rounding the outfit off with some burgundy leather ankle boots I also scored on sale. Of course the only other option for me was my black leather motto jacket from Wilson’s Leather’s black Friday sale last year. Accessories were minimal and my natural coils are living in mini twists so an up-do was the chosen style for the night.

I hope this is helpful for the next get-together attendance. You can always count on some strong neutrals to pull you out of the I-have-absolutely-nothing-to-wear hole.
